Your new company

I'm partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed international organisation undergoing significant transformation. They are seeking a technically strong, commercially minded finance contractor to join their Group Finance team, playing a key role in financial reporting, process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with data analysis and problem-solving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will support a range of group finance and transformation activities, helping to enhance reporting processes, strengthen controls and deliver meaningful financial insight across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing and interpreting large, complex financial datasets using advanced Excel and finance systems.
  • Supporting finance transformation projects, including process redesign, control enhancements and accounting policy improvements.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, governance and internal controls.
  • Delivering robust reconciliations across multiple entities, systems and reporting cycles.
  • Providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making for senior finance stakeholders.
  • Partnering with teams across the business to embed best-practice finance processes.
  • Performing detailed balance sheet reviews, account reconciliations and investigative analysis.
  • Supporting compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and audit requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
