📊 Join Forge Holiday Group as a Senior Financial Accountant (12-Month FTC)
We're looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract and play a key role in driving financial excellence across Forge Holiday Group. If you're a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise, a passion for continuous improvement and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business, we'd love to hear from you.
📍 Chester HQ (Hybrid Working)
💷 £55,000 - £68,000 per annum
📅 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
⏰ 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm
👤 Reporting to our Divisional Financial Controller
👥 Part of our Finance Team
What you'll be doing:
- 📈 Own and enhance key financial accounting processes across the business
- 📊 Deliver accurate financial reporting across divisions, regions and departments
- ⚙️ Lead process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls and efficiency
- 📝 Support month-end and year-end activities, including UK consolidation
- 📚 Prepare statutory accounts in line with FRS and IFRS requirements
- 📋 Produce technical accounting papers and board-level reporting
- ✅ Ensure robust controls, compliance and process documentation are maintained
- 🤝 Partner with teams across the business to drive improvements and add value
- 🔍 Support compliance reporting and audit requirements
- 🌟 Identify opportunities to improve ways of working and financial performance
- 👥 Coach, support and develop colleagues where required

What you'll bring:
- ✔ ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience
- ✔ Strong technical accounting and statutory accounts experience
- ✔ Experience leading projects that improve controls, processes or efficiency
- ✔ Strong month-end, year-end and consolidation experience
- ✔ Proven ability to challenge and improve existing processes
- ✔ Experience preparing technical accounting papers for senior stakeholders and auditors
- ✔ Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills
- ✔ Experience managing or developing team members
- ✔ Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
- ✔ A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach
