Location

While our company operates exclusively on a remote basis, you must reside and have the legal right to work in one of the following countries: the United Kingdom, Latvia, or Spain.

This is a full-time, remote position. Please note that we do not engage on a B2B or contractor basis.

We do not partner with search firms.

About the Team

Our Finance team is the backbone of Lokalise's financial operations—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and control as we scale. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with FP&A, you will step into a broad, hands-on role.

You will own month-end close and balance sheet integrity across our global entities while acting as the primary internal liaison for our external accounting, payroll, and EOR providers. Additionally, you will champion our finance automation program, transitioning the team from manual workflows to highly scalable, controlled processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Will Do

  • Own the month-end close across multiple entities, managing journals, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting strictly to the group timetable.
  • Own balance sheet integrity, with a specific focus on payroll and employment costs.
  • Act as the internal client for outsourced accounting, payroll, and EOR platforms. Review output, hold them to SLAs, and review/approve payroll across our US, UK, Spanish, Latvian, and EOR entities to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Prepare and post payroll/employment cost journals into the ERP, ensuring data integrity between our HRIS and payroll providers.
  • Provide detailed analysis and actionable commentary on Operating Expenses and other critical areas of the P&L.
  • Lead the charge on documenting and improving workflows. You will transition manual reviews into risk-based, threshold-driven controls.
  • Support annual audits and statutory reporting alongside our auditors and outsourced providers.

What You Must Have

  • 5+ years in a hands-on accounting role within a SaaS or tech company, including payroll accounting processes (journals, accruals, and control account reconciliations), month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent), or qualified by extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience acting as the internal client for external accounting, payroll, or EOR providers — reviewing their output and holding them accountable for accuracy and compliance. A strong accounting foundation is important, alongside experience working with one or more of these provider models.
  • Solid working knowledge of multi-country payroll and payroll-to-GL processes (journals, accruals, and control account reconciliations).
  • Accounting ERP experience and highly advanced Excel/Google Sheet skills.
  • Comfort leveraging AI and automation tools in your day-to-day work, proactively exploring how AI-driven workflows can reduce manual effort and improve controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
