About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team!
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Practice Plus Group team!
Practice Plus Group is the UK’s leading independent provider of NHS services to patients in Secure Environments – prisons, immigration removal centres (IRCs) and non-custodial services, and Integrated Urgent Care - NHS 111, Out-of-Hours (OOH) and Clinical Assessment Centres (CAS).
This is a 7 month Fixed Term Contract.
Hours:
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.
Monday - Friday: core office hours
Salary:
You'll receive an annual salary up to £70,000 depending on experience
Location:
Hybrid role with a minimum of 1 day per week in our Theale, Reading office.

What you'll be doing
As our new Senior Financial Accountant, some of your duties will include:
- Support the Interim Group Finance Director through the year-end reporting cycle and support in other ad hoc projects as required
- Responsible for the preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements and support the wider team in the preparation of 8 set of subsidiary accounts
- Provide support and be the key contact for the year-end and audit process including accounting for pensions and impairment testing.
- Maintain a robust, independent control and governance framework including setting and ensuring adherence to all financial processes and policies to manage risk.

As our new Senior Financial Accountant you will:
- Be an ACA qualified accountant with post-qualification experience obtained in industry, preferably within Group finance functions.
- Have strong technical skills and financial control knowledge
- Experience of working within a large, multi-site organisation and preparation of consolidated IFRS accounts in a large company.
- High-level competency in usual Microsoft applications e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet targets and deadlines
