Search are supporting the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant

Search are supporting the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant to join a growing international organisation based in West Lothian. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad role offering exposure across group reporting, financial control, consolidations, statutory compliance and business improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys working across multiple entities, partnering with stakeholders and helping shape finance processes within a growing business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the monthly group consolidation and reporting process
  • Preparing consolidation journals, intercompany eliminations and adjustments
  • Reviewing financial submissions from operating entities and ensuring consistency across the group
  • Analysing financial performance and providing commentary on key movements and trends
  • Supporting reporting requirements for senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining strong balance sheet control and reviewing reconciliations across the group
  • Assisting with the enhancement of financial controls, reporting processes and governance
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end audit activities
  • Managing intercompany reconciliations and resolving accounting differences
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting
  • Supporting treasury and working capital activities
  • Driving improvements in reporting, systems and month-end processes

Skills and experience that will benefit your application:

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable financial accounting and month-end reporting experience
  • Experience working within a multi-entity environment
  • Exposure to consolidations and group reporting
  • Good understanding of UK GAAP
  • Excel proficiency and experience using Power BI or similar tools
  • Commercial mindset with strong analytical capability
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage internal & external stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment
