Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for UK entities under UK GAAP.
• Preparation of tax data to external auditors.
• Manage the treasury function for the UK including the preparation of multi-currency cash forecasts and hedging activities.
• Co-ordinate all site audits with both internal and external auditors.
• Manage and review our controls, working with both finance and non-finance teams, to ensure compliance.
• Complete monthly, quarterly and annual government returns including VAT returns.
• Provide coaching and support for other members of the finance team, particularly those who provide financial accounting data & reports.
• Complete the month end process for general accounting.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Minimum 5 years related / progressive experience in a finance related role.
• Proficiency in all MS Office applications with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Substantial experience of UK statutory accounting, reporting and compliance requirements, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.

Desirable Criteria:

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• UK Tax experience.
• Investment appraisal experience.
• Power BI experience.
• Previous experience in a UK audit practice, with a strong understanding of audit methodology and statutory financial statement preparation and review.
