About the Role
The successful candidate will be an appropriately qualified and committed individual, with sufficient relevant financial experience, as outlined in the person specification. Spreadsheet skills and experience of electronic financial ledgers, treasury/cash book management, governance arrangements and reporting systems are fundamental to the role. The ability to balance and prioritise competing work deadlines will be critical.
The post requires good technical competence combined with the ability to communicate effectively. In return, the post offers a breadth of financial accounting and governance experience and will be a perfect fit for a self-motivated individual seeking a challenge and who wants to make a difference in the NHS.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with a friendly and supportive team as well as clinical and corporate colleagues to support a first-class Finance team to ensure we provide the best possible care to patients and deliver the best value for money for the people of Sheffield, South Yorkshire and beyond.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, along with relevant experience of treasury management and financial ledgers are fundamental to the role, as is a strong customer service focus.

Contract Details
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of a maximum of twelve months due to maternity leave of the substantive post holder. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and statutory maternity provisions.
Please note all existing NHS staff will only be considered on a secondment basis. This must first be agreed with your current line manager.
