Senior Finance Analyst required for a Private Equity backed SaaS business in Reading!
£65,000 - £75,000 + bonus and benefits, depending on experience
Stanton House is exclusively partnering with a private equity-backed technology business to appoint a Senior Finance Analyst into a newly created role. The company operates in a high-growth environment and is entering a pivotal period as it strengthens financial processes, enhances reporting capability and prepares for potential future corporate activity.
The business has delivered strong growth through both organic expansion and acquisition, with further growth initiatives planned over the coming years. As a result, the finance team is looking to add an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who can help improve cost governance, support strategic projects and play a key role in preparing the organisation for future transactions.
To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum two years' post-qualified experience
- Strong financial analysis and reporting capability
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience producing insightful management information and performance reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of deliverables
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving business environment

A little more information about the role:
- Implement and develop cost control and cost governance processes across the organisation
- Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, investigating variances and supporting budget holders with corrective actions
- Build meaningful cost reporting, KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making
- Partner with operational and departmental leaders to challenge expenditure and identify efficiency opportunities
- Develop robust cost models and financial analysis to support planning and forecasting activities
- Help create and maintain transaction-ready financial information and reporting packs
- Support the preparation, organisation and ongoing management of due diligence materials and data room content
- Produce clear reporting and analysis across revenue, profitability, cash flow and working capital performance
- Identify financial data gaps and develop practical solutions to improve reporting quality and readiness
- Support strategic projects including acquisitions, disposals, systems improvements, automation initiatives and broader commercial analysis
- Assist with the evolution of finance processes, controls and reporting frameworks across the business
- Work closely with senior finance leadership and investors on projects relating to value creation and corporate activity
