Broster Buchanan are supporting our client, a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated environment, with the appointment of a Senior Finance Analyst in Manchester City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who combines strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring financial performance, analysing variances and supporting accurate forecasting and business decision-making.
The Role
As Senior Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining detailed financial models to support business planning, forecasting and performance analysis.
- Monitoring actual performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods, identifying key variances and underlying drivers.
- Producing clear and insightful financial reports for senior stakeholders.
- Supporting the preparation of regular forecasts and longer-term financial plans.
- Using advanced Excel techniques to analyse complex financial data and build robust reporting models.
- Developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reporting to provide accessible, data-driven insights.
- Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand performance and challenge assumptions.
- Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and translating financial data into meaningful commercial insight.
- Ensuring financial analysis and reporting is accurate, consistent and compliant with the requirements of a regulated environment.

About You
We are looking for a technically strong finance professional with proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting and modelling.
Key skills and experience:
- Qualified candidate preferred, although active finalists or candidates nearing qualification will also be considered.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data analysis and financial modelling.
- Strong Power BI capability, with experience creating dashboards and presenting financial information visually.
- Proven experience in variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Understanding of financial reporting and performance management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
