About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded and technically strong Senior Finance Analyst to support the FP&A Manager and provide flexible support across accounting and reporting. The role will help deliver accurate month-end reporting, robust balance sheet control, budgeting and forecasting, overhead analysis and clear performance insight for stakeholders across the business.

The successful candidate will combine strong accounting discipline with analytical curiosity, high attention to detail and confident communication. They will work collaboratively with finance and non-finance colleagues, translate financial information into practical insight and proactively improve processes, controls and reporting. The role would suit an ACCA, ACA or CIMA finalist, newly qualified accountant, or an individual with equivalent experience who is ready to broaden their exposure in industry.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, Forecasting and Overheads

  • Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts and scenario analysis by coordinating inputs, validating assumptions and maintaining planning models.
  • Own or support defined overhead cost areas, including cost-centre reporting, headcount and spend analysis.
  • Partner with department leads to improve forecast accuracy, explain performance and identify cost-control opportunities.

Business Partnering and Improvement

  • Build effective relationships across Finance and the wider business, providing responsive support.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reporting, reconciliations, controls and workflows, using systems and automation to increase efficiency and data quality.
  • Provide cover and flexible assistance across accounting and reporting activities as priorities require.

Accounting and Financial Control

  • Support the month-end and year-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany entries and review of ledger activity.
  • Support the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, clear supporting documentation and accurate accounting records.
  • Support internal and external audit requests and help ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies and standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
