Westminster School is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to provide a pivotal hands-on role in managing and enhancing the financial operations of the Schools, its charities, and subsidiary companies.
Managing the Day-to-Day Financial Operations
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Owning the month-end and year-end financial accounting processes to deliver accurate and timely reconciled accounting records to trial balance to support the production of monthly management accounts.
- Supporting the year-end process to deliver a clean audit and accurate and timely annual statutory accounts.
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the Purchase Requisition to Invoice Payment processes, fee and extras billings including its commercial activity, debt collection, general ledger, financial controls, and team management.

The successful postholder is expected to be an impactful and supportive leader for the Finance Team.
Positive stakeholder engagement is also critical, as this role will work with budget holders, senior management, and external regulators, to ensure continuous improvement across the School and associated businesses.
