Senior Finance Manager – Modelling & Strategic Analysis

Permanent | £100,000

We’re partnering with a high-profile, regulated consumer organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Manager specialising in financial modelling and strategic analysis. This is a high-impact role within FP&A, working closely with Commercial Finance and senior stakeholders to lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical financial models, reporting, and strategic analysis.

The Opportunity

As Senior Finance Manager, you’ll play a central role in shaping strategic decision-making across the organisation. You’ll take ownership of complex financial models and provide insight across business planning, scenario analysis, regulatory requirements, and executive stakeholder engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished finance professional who combines advanced modelling expertise with commercial judgement, clear communication, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll support confident, insight-led decision-making by:

  • Leading the development of core Excel-based financial models using best-practice modelling techniques.
  • Owning and continuously improving the long-range planning model, including actuals, forecasts, and evolving business requirements.
  • Developing sales forecasting models and integrated three-statement long-range planning models.
  • Working with Finance and Commercial teams to capture accurate financial inputs and create effective input templates where required.
  • Designing outputs that use data visualisation and trend analysis to communicate the story behind financial performance.
  • Developing efficient Excel-based reports with robust accuracy checks.
  • Delivering high-quality financial analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Building and adapting models for business case appraisal, scenario planning, stress testing, and financial resilience analysis.
  • Ensuring models and outputs align with business planning methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying gaps between business needs and regulatory expectations and developing pragmatic solutions.
  • Preparing high-quality reporting packs, analysis, and messaging for senior management, executive, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Creating manuals and training materials to enable the wider Finance team to take ownership of models and reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
