Are you a Chartered Financial Planner looking to take on a portfolio of higher-value clients, with company-provided leads behind you and the chance to help shape technical standards across the firm? Lumin Wealth is looking for a Senior Financial Planner to join our St Albans head office.
About Lumin Wealth
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in St Albans, Lumin Wealth is a Chartered firm providing financial planning and investment management to more than 4,000 families. We manage £1.6 billion in client assets and have been consistently ranked among the UK's top 100 financial advice firms by FT Adviser and Citywire New Model Adviser. After more than a decade of uninterrupted growth, we now have over 120 people across offices in London and the South East. We're also part of VZ Group, Switzerland's leading independent financial services provider, which gives us the backing of a group of around 1,700 people as we continue to grow.
About the role
You'll manage and develop a portfolio of clients that includes higher-value and more complex cases. Some will be moving across from existing advisers, and some will be joining through recent acquisitions. Alongside your own client bank, you'll act as a technical point of reference in the office and support the development of less experienced colleagues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
