FP&A Lead (Marketing)
London | Hybrid | 6-8 month contract
We’re partnering with a high-growth, global consumer technology business to hire a senior finance leader who will play a key role in shaping how the business invests in growth.
This is a highly commercial FP&A position, partnering directly with senior Marketing stakeholders to connect financial performance, customer growth and investment decisions. You’ll combine strong financial modelling with commercial curiosity, using data and insight to influence where the business invests and how it measures returns.
The opportunity
You’ll become a trusted finance partner to Marketing leadership, helping translate ambitious growth plans into robust financial plans, forecasts and measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Partnering with senior Marketing leaders on investment decisions, commercial strategy and financial performance.
- Leading the Marketing budgeting, forecasting and planning cycle, alongside regular analysis and business reviews.
- Developing investment and ROI models to assess customer acquisition, lifetime value, payback periods and broader marketing effectiveness.
- Providing senior stakeholders with clear analysis of financial and operational performance, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities.
- Investigating performance against budget and forecast, identifying the underlying drivers and working with stakeholders to determine appropriate actions.
- Maintaining a forward-looking view of risks and opportunities, using scenario analysis to support confident decision-making.
- Working closely with User Acquisition, Accounting, Data and Analytics teams to bring together multiple data sources and improve commercial insight.
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing FP&A team while improving processes, efficiency and capability across the wider finance function.
- Exploring practical applications of AI and emerging tools to accelerate analysis, modelling and financial storytelling while maintaining appropriate governance and data controls.

What we're looking for
We’re interested in commercially minded finance professionals who can operate confidently with senior stakeholders and combine strategic thinking with strong technical FP&A capability.
You’ll ideally bring:
- 8+ years’ experience across Commercial Finance, FP&A or a closely related discipline.
- Strong experience partnering with senior Marketing, Growth or Customer Acquisition stakeholders.
- A proven track record of influencing commercial decisions through financial analysis and insight.
- Strong understanding of marketing investment metrics, unit economics, ROI, CAC/LTV, payback and cohort analysis.
- Previous experience managing and developing a small team.
- The ability to distill complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and scenario-planning experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively while building strong relationships.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- An interest in using AI and automation to improve financial analysis and decision-making, with an appreciation for data privacy and governance.
