Job Description
Ready to build the foundations behind trusted financial reporting? We’re looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to develop robust data models and system solutions that underpin planning, forecasting and decision-making across the business.
The Finance Systems team manages, configures, and develops Vena, the core solution for planning, analysis, and reporting. This function ensures data integrity, delivers robust reporting, and drives fit-for-purpose planning across the business.

This role acts as a Vena Subject Matter Expert, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to the wider Finance team. The successful candidate translates complex business requirements into practical, scalable system solutions, ensuring our financial data remains accurate and actionable.
This role is eligible for inclusion in our hybrid work from home policy.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Expertise in financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including Power Query, for manipulating and analysing large financial datasets
- Strong grasp of financial data structures, controls, and validation processes
- Aptitude for learning finance systems, data models, and planning solution configuration
- Technical problem-solving skills with a focus on system optimisation
- Ability to translate technical requirements into clear business language
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data reconciliation and validation
- Experience with Vena, EPM, CPM or similar finance planning systems
- Knowledge of project management methodologies like PRINCE2 or Agile and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Additional Information
- Maintain and update the Vena data model to ensure it remains fit for purpose
- Reconcile financial data between source systems and Vena to ensure data integrity
- Build and maintain planning solutions within Vena by translating business requirements into functional system configurations
- Provide troubleshooting and user support to the Finance team while developing deep systems expertise
- Utilise advanced Excel skills, including modelling and Power Query, to manipulate data and perform complex analysis
- Identify opportunities to optimise finance systems and improve the quality of reporting
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve system issues, and drive effective Vena usage
