Senior Financial Systems Manager

Role Overview
A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Manager to oversee the functional management of its financial information systems. We are seeking a front and backend finance systems specialist responsible for ensuring correct implementation, driving proficient system use across teams through training, maintaining robust security, overseeing testing and upgrades, safeguarding data accuracy, troubleshooting issues, and leading on finance technology projects.
The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between Finance and IT, managing vendor relationships, coordinating system upgrades, and leading technology-driven projects that enhance the firm’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects through the full system development life cycle, ensuring deliverables meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Finance to define requirements, conduct needs analysis, and implement solutions.
- Develop and document project specifications and business processes to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
- Update, test, and repair existing software systems, proposing innovative solutions to enhance functionality.
- Provide analysis and documentation for system design and implementation.
- Develop and execute test strategies, tools, and systems.
- Oversee and safely introduce system modifications, maintaining data integrity and audit trails.
- Act as liaison between Finance, Technology, and external vendors/consultants.
- Stay current with emerging technologies that support and enhance financial operations.

Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Extensive law firm finance systems experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and systems integration.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel VBA; experience with SQL (SSRS), Power BI, and relational databases.
- Experience with financial data systems and data visualization tools.
