Senior Fine Art Consultant

Eames Fine Art, London SE1

A rare opportunity to build a career in one of London’s leading specialist print galleries.

Eames Fine Art is an established specialist gallery with three venues in London’s SE1, dealing exclusively in original prints spanning five centuries. From Rembrandt and Dali to leading contemporary printmakers, our collection ranges from accessible works that begin a lifetime of collecting to exceptional rarities sought by serious collectors.

No two days are the same. One moment you’ll be helping someone acquire their very first original artwork; the next you’ll be placing an important print with an experienced collector. Every conversation is different, every client has their own story, and every artwork offers an opportunity to share knowledge, build trust, and create lasting relationships.

This is an opportunity that rarely becomes available. We’re looking for someone who relishes that variety. Someone who enjoys matching exceptional works with the right collectors, takes genuine pride in building long-term relationships, and thrives on the satisfaction of achieving outstanding commercial results. You’ll be equally comfortable discussing a Picasso etching as discovering an exciting contemporary printmaker, combining curiosity, confidence, and a natural instinct for helping clients buy well.

What you’ll be doing

  • Advising collectors across our galleries and Collectors’ Studio, guiding walk-in visitors, online enquiries, and your own leads through to successful acquisitions.
  • Building long-term relationships with an established client base while introducing new collectors to the gallery.
  • Enjoying the challenge of matching exceptional works with the right people and seeing your commercial success rewarded directly.
  • Contributing to a gallery where commercial success matters, is recognized, and is shared.
  • Working hands-on with an unrivalled range of original prints spanning five centuries.
  • Playing an active role in exhibitions, events, and the continued success and reputation of the gallery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The person who will thrive here

  • A proven record of achieving outstanding sales results, ideally within fine art or another consultative, relationship-led sales environment.
  • Someone who is naturally proactive. You recognize opportunities, pursue them with enthusiasm, and enjoy the satisfaction of turning conversations into lasting client relationships.
  • A genuine interest in original prints and a curiosity that drives you to continually develop your knowledge. A formal art history qualification isn’t essential, but we’d expect you to already be engaged with the type of work we sell and to enjoy London’s rich arts and cultural scene.
  • Confidence using a CRM or client database, with the organizational skills to keep information accurate and relationships well managed.
  • A warm, professional presence and the ability to make clients feel welcomed, understood, and expertly advised.

The realities of the role

This is a four-day working week. Our galleries are at their busiest during weekends and evening events, so most weekends and usually one evening event each week form part of the role. If you enjoy the energy of a busy gallery and thrive when there’s plenty happening around you, you’ll find the rhythm rewarding.

This is a role that rewards commitment, initiative, and resilience. Exhibitions change, collectors’ interests evolve, and opportunities rarely arrive twice. The people who thrive here are those who enjoy taking ownership, creating opportunities, and building relationships rather than waiting for them.

Why this role is different

Alongside a generous basic salary (depending on experience), you’ll earn commission on your sales, so exceptional performance is rewarded directly.

You’ll also have the freedom to develop your own client relationships, build your own reputation, and become personally known by collectors. As your knowledge, expertise, and network grow, so too will your influence within the business.

More importantly, you’ll be joining a small, close-knit, and hard-working team in beautiful gallery spaces with an outstanding reputation in the London art world. We’re proud of the way we do business. We value expertise, honesty, long-term relationships, and authentic customer service above quick wins, and we’re looking for someone who shares those values.

This isn’t simply a sales role. Over time, you’ll develop genuine expertise in artists, techniques, and the history of printmaking, working daily with works that many people only encounter in museums or books. You’ll contribute to exhibitions, attend exclusive talks and collector events, and become immersed in a field where there is always more to learn.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career in one of London’s most fascinating specialist galleries—working with exceptional art, exceptional clients, and a team that cares deeply about what it does.

If this sounds like the kind of role you've been waiting for, we'd love to hear from you.
