Compensation: £70,000 – £95,000 per year + Bonus & Benefits
About the Role:
Our client—a leading global online delivery and marketplace platform—is recruiting a Senior FinOps Analyst in London. In this critical intersection of finance, cloud engineering, and operations, you will manage, analyze, and optimize multi-million pound cloud infrastructure expenditure across AWS, GCP, and Azure, driving financial accountability and engineering cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise cloud financial management (FinOps), tracking, forecasting, and allocating multi-cloud infrastructure spend.
- Partner directly with engineering leads and product architects to identify cloud resource wastage, rightsizing, and architectural optimizations.
- Manage cloud commitment strategies, including Reserved Instances (RIs), Savings Plans, and committed use discounts to maximize savings.
- Build automated cost-allocation models, chargeback/showback mechanisms, and unit-economic metrics (cost per order, cost per query).
- Develop real-time FinOps dashboards and reporting suites in CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Kubecost, or Datadog.
- Lead regular FinOps review meetings with engineering directors and the CFO organization to review burn rates and budget variances.
- Champion a culture of cloud cost awareness, defining tagging policies, governance guardrails, and anomaly alerting systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of dedicated FinOps, cloud financial operations, or cloud cost optimization experience in an enterprise cloud environment.
- Certified FinOps Practitioner or professional cloud certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of cloud billing architectures, pricing models, container cost allocation (Kubernetes/EKS/GKE), and SaaS tooling.
- Advanced data modeling capabilities with strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI visualization platforms (Tableau, Looker).
- Proven track record delivering substantial six-to-seven figure annual cloud spend optimizations.
- Outstanding stakeholder communication skills, comfortable interacting with both software engineers and finance directors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or related field.
