The Role

As a Fire Engineer at NDY, you will support the delivery of a range of projects, utilising your knowledge and competencies to perform independent work. This role is critical to our business as you contribute to enhancing our service offerings and achieving meaningful outcomes for our clients.

Key Challenges:

  • Understanding the business and client requirements effectively.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Dealing with high-level, urgent, and confidential issues.
  • Managing varied and conflicting demands to meet agreed standards and timelines.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide input for job costing, including timesheets, fee allocations, and forecasts in consultation with the Manager and Project Leader.
  • Produce detailed fire strategies and supporting calculations to fulfil design obligations for each project.
  • Undertake fire engineering design activities and perform design reviews against specific fire safety requirements.
  • Manage NDY’s involvement in projects efficiently to meet client needs and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Participate in engineering training and assist in developing less senior engineers through mentoring and sharing technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • A undergraduate/post graduate degree in Fire Engineering.
  • Member of relevant professional fire engineering institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and exercise well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, engineering codes, and standards
