Description

Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an ‘Outstanding Employer’ by Best Companies in 2025, we are only getting bigger and stronger — and we’re looking for A-players to help us get there.

We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our goal is to build a world where every resident can sleep safely at night, knowing their home is 100% safe.

We are looking for a Senior Fire Engineer to join our Service Delivery team, covering London and the M25 corridor. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, inspection, and commissioning of fire safety systems across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and public sector clients — working to the highest technical and quality standards on every visit.

This is a field-based role. You will be the technical lead on your sites — responsible for the quality of your work, the accuracy of your certification, and the confidence our clients place in Harmony. If you take pride in your craft, hold yourself to a high standard, and want to be part of a business genuinely committed to saving lives — read on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive call-outs, and commissioning of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and associated fire safety systems across London and the M25 corridor.
  • Produce accurate, fully compliant certification and service documentation following every visit, ensuring records are completed in line with BS 5839, BS 5266, and client requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and accurately, minimising system downtime and keeping clients informed throughout.
  • Carry out system commissioning and handover for new installations, ensuring all documentation, test records, and certifications are completed to the required standard.
  • Act as the senior technical point of contact on site — providing guidance to junior engineers where required and representing Harmony’s standards at all times.
  • Maintain your van stock, test equipment, and tools to the required standard, ensuring you are always equipped to carry out your work.
  • Liaise with clients and site contacts professionally, communicating findings, recommendations, and next steps clearly.
  • Complete all job management system entries accurately and on time, including time logging, parts usage, and site notes.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency callout rota as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
