Senior / Fire Risk Assessor – Tier 3 / Tier 4
Location: Manchester, London & Midlands
Working Pattern: Hybrid + 9 day Fortnight
The Opportunity
We are working with a highly respected, independent fire safety consultancy that is continuing to grow its fire safety team across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tier 3 or Tier 4 Fire Risk Assessor to join a technically strong and forward-thinking team, working across a varied portfolio of buildings and sectors.
The consultancy delivers specialist fire safety advice and risk assessment services, working closely with clients, architects, property professionals and project teams to provide pragmatic, proportionate and technically robust solutions.

The Role
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will undertake fire risk assessments across a broad range of property types, including:
- Residential
- Commercial
- Retail
- Hospitality & Leisure
- Care & Healthcare
- Education
- Industrial
- Mixed-use developments
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments and reports, providing clients with clear and practical advice while ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation, regulations and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Tier 3 and Tier 4 Fire Risk Assessments across a diverse property portfolio.
- Complete pre-occupation and standard Fire Risk Assessments.
- Undertake External Wall Assessments where suitably qualified.
- Produce detailed, accurate and technically robust reports.
- Provide pragmatic and proportionate fire safety recommendations.
- Work directly with clients and project teams to understand requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation, regulations and guidance.
- Contribute to technical discussions, knowledge sharing and internal CPD.
- Support and mentor junior members of the fire safety team.
- Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and customer service.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in experienced Fire Risk Assessors operating at Tier 3 or Tier 4, with a strong technical understanding and proven experience delivering FRAs.
Ideally, you will have:
- Level 3 or 4 FRA qualification or equivalent.
- Level 3 qualification considered where you are actively progressing towards Level 4.
- IFE membership/registration.
- 4+ years' experience delivering Fire Risk Assessments.
- Strong understanding of current fire safety legislation, regulations and guidance.
- Experience across a range of building types and sectors.
- Excellent technical report-writing skills.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- A pragmatic approach to fire safety and risk.
- Full UK driving licence.
