About the Role

We are partnering with a prominent, well-established housing organisation managing a substantial residential portfolio as they appoint a Senior Fire Safety Manager to provide strategic leadership, technical assurance, and operational expertise across their fire safety function.

This newly created mandate offers an experienced fire safety professional the platform to take a lead role in shaping the organisation's fire safety strategy, working closely alongside senior stakeholders, asset management, development, and frontline operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic fire risk assessment programme across a diverse property portfolio
  • Ensure statutory compliance with current UK fire safety legislation and evolving regulatory standards
  • Lead the development and implementation of forward-looking fire safety policies, procedures, and strategies
  • Manage remediation actions, inspections, and specialist contractor delivery to maintain high safety standards
  • Lead, mentor, and build capability across a dedicated team of specialist fire safety professionals
  • Act as the key technical interface for external stakeholders, fire authorities, and regulatory bodies

Candidate Profile

  • Proven technical track record in fire safety, ideally gained within social housing, residential development, or complex property environments
  • Recognised professional fire safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Fire, IFE membership, or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience overseeing fire risk assessments, compliance frameworks, and contractor performance
  • Confidence advising senior leadership and translating complex statutory legislation into clear operational outcomes
  • Strong leadership capability with exceptional reporting, communication, and organisational skills
