Senior Firmware Engineer
📍 Cardiff | Hybrid
We are currently supporting a global technology organisation that develops industry-leading secure access solutions used by businesses globally.
They are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team in Cardiff, working on innovative embedded products that sit at the heart of physical access and security systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced firmware engineer who enjoys low-level development, debugging embedded systems, and working on products that have real-world impact on a global scale.

What You'll Be Doing
- Developing embedded firmware solutions primarily in C and C#
- Designing and implementing secure cryptographic functionality
- Debugging and troubleshooting embedded hardware and software
- Supporting products across the full development lifecycle
- Producing technical design and test documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and internationally
- Contributing to both new product development and existing product enhancements

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in embedded firmware development
- Strong C and/or C# programming skills
- Experience debugging embedded systems
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and version control
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies
- Understanding of cryptographic technologies and secure communications
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team
