Embedded Firmware Engineer – Motor Control

Redding, UK | Full-time

I Designed, engineered and built in the UK.

You’ll be joining a highly technical engineering environment where firmware, electronics and mechanical systems come together to create innovative products. Developing cutting-edge technology right here in the UK, from engineering through to build.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll play a key role in developing and improving embedded firmware for BLDC motor control systems, working closely with the wider engineering team.
  • Developing robust bare-metal C/C++ firmware
  • Designing and developing firmware for BLDC motor controllers
  • Working with motor-control algorithms, feedback systems and control strategies
  • Debugging firmware
  • Testing, validating and optimising firmware and embedded systems

  • Proven experience as an Embedded Firmware Engineer
  • Strong C or C++ programming skills
  • Solid experience with bare-metal embedded development
  • Commercial experience developing firmware for BLDC motor controllers
  • Experience developing motor-control algorithms
  • Experience with real-time embedded systems
  • Exposure to power electronics or motor-control hardware

Full-time onsite in Reading, UK
