Senior Flood Risk Consultant

Bristol or London | Hybrid

Join an established and successful Flood Risk team and play a key role in its continued growth.

My client is a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation across the built environment. Due to continued growth and an abundance of exciting project work, they are looking to appoint a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their established team in either Bristol or London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team that has already built a strong track record and is continuing to grow. You will play an important role in bolstering the team's success, taking ownership of projects, supporting junior colleagues and helping to further develop the Flood Risk offering.

The Opportunity

Working as part of an established and collaborative Flood Risk team, you will be involved in a varied portfolio of projects across the UK, providing specialist flood risk and hydraulic modelling advice from feasibility and planning through to detailed design.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and delivering Flood Risk Assessments for a range of development projects.
  • Undertaking and reviewing 2D hydraulic modelling using TUFLOW.
  • Providing technical flood risk advice to clients, planners, engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Developing flood mitigation and surface water management strategies.
  • Managing projects, programmes and budgets.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Contributing to the continued development and success of the Flood Risk team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
