JD Sports Role Overview
As a Senior Floor Manager, you play a key role in supporting store performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Working closely with the Store Manager and wider leadership team, you will help maintain high operational standards, support colleague development, and contribute to achieving key commercial objectives. You will play an active role in leading and supporting colleagues, ensuring customer-facing areas of the store operate effectively and that customers receive consistently high levels of service.
This role requires effective leadership, strong commercial awareness, and a commitment to helping colleagues perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the shop floor to deliver exceptional customer service standards, always ensuring a premium customer experience.
- Drive strong commercial performance through effective merchandising, stock management, and team motivation.
- Take ownership of the store’s key performance indicators, ensuring consistent progress and strong overall results.
- Support smooth day-to-day operations, including opening and closing routines, cash processes, audit compliance, stock accuracy, and cost control.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop colleagues, building a high-performing, engaged, and customer-focused team.

Skills & Experience Required
- Supervisory or management experience within a fast-paced, high-volume retail or customer-facing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supporting, coaching, and developing colleagues.
- Excellent communication and customer-resolution skills, ability to handle complex situations.
- Solid commercial awareness with understanding of store operations and performance drivers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to uphold premium standards in a flagship setting.
