About the Role
We’re expanding our production operative team at Just Bee!
As one of The Sunday Times 100 fastest growing companies in 2026, we are seeking a skilled and diligent Senior Production Operative to play a key role on our food manufacturing production line, helping to ensure the efficient production of our honey products.
Working in a manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the production line, ensuring products are manufactured safely, consistently, and to specification. You will help maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene, while ensuring all production activities are carried out in line with our Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and daily production schedules.
This is a senior role with responsibility for team guidance, quality control, machinery checks, and achieving daily production targets. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you will be expected to lead by example on the production floor and step in to cover Production Supervisor duties when required, ensuring production continues to run safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, gowning, housekeeping, and stock control throughout production areas.
- Ensure accurate weighing of ingredients and finished products, with all records completed correctly and equipment calibrated.
- Oversee the safe and correct operation of production machinery, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.
- Monitor product quality throughout production, including sealing, labelling, filtering, and final inspections.
- Complete and verify all production cleaning and quality documentation accurately and in real time.
- Support the delivery of daily production targets, ensuring operations start on time, deadlines are met, and any risks are communicated promptly.
- Drive compliance with food safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times.
About You
- Previous experience within food production and manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- A strong understanding of hygiene, gowning, and food safety procedures including HACCP and GMP.
- Proven ability to work well in a team and manage workloads in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent output against tight daily deadlines.
- Commitment to operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable lifting up to 16kg.
- Able to work on your feet for long periods and carry out the physical demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working Hours & Conditions
IMMEDIATE START BASED ON AVAILABILITY OF CANDIDATE
Monday - Friday 14:00 - 22:00
6 month fixed term contract starting September 2026
Ad-hoc overtime may be required by agreement
Minimum three weeks notice required for holiday requests
No holidays in November or the first half of December without prior approval
Attendance at the weekly management meeting is required when covering for the Production Supervisor

Performance
All team members are accountable for achieving their weekly targets, which are reviewed at team meetings. As a supervisor, you will be expected to communicate key shift information effectively to management to ensure smooth day-to-day performance.
