ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Formulation Scientist to join a leading organisation within biotechnology and solid dose development. Our client is seeking a dedicated scientist to contribute to high-quality formulation and manufacturing experiments in a dynamic laboratory environment. Based in a collaborative setting, this role offers the chance to work on innovative solid dose formulations that could impact global health.

This is a full-time position, perfect for someone with proven experience in biologic formulation development, seeking to apply their expertise in a forward-thinking company committed to scientific excellence.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Senior Formulation Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Execute formulation development and manufacturing activities in the laboratory for assigned projects.
  • Lead, plan and execute laboratory-based experimentation on vaccine formulation development projects.
  • Develop and optimize stable solid vaccine formulations for internal and external projects.
  • Contribute to scalable, practical manufacturing processes for solid-dose vaccines.
  • As the Senior Research Scientist/Scientist, you will mentor junior colleagues and support project reporting.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Formulation Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • A Degree or higher level in biological sciences (e.g., Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Immunology).
  • Proven experience in formulation development projects for biologic materials, ideally vaccines.
  • Experience in formulation techniques such as freeze-drying, spray drying, and powder blending, and knowledge of DoE approaches for formulation design.
