We are supporting a hiring of a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer for a long-term, embedded engagement with a leading enterprise client in London, UK.
This hands-on, client-facing role will focus on enterprise data modelling, data architecture and Databricks engineering. You will partner with Finance, HR, Risk and Compliance teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable enterprise data models and lakehouse architectures
- Build production-grade data pipelines using SQL, Python/PySpark and Databricks
- Implement data governance, security and access controls through Unity Catalog
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand and prioritise requirements
- Establish data-quality, modelling and engineering standards
- Take ownership of delivery in a fast-moving, autonomous environment

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline
- Databricks Professional certification: Preferred
- Strong experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering and advanced data modelling
- Hands-on expertise in Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows
- Production experience with SQL, Python/PySpark and dbt and/or Spark Declarative Pipelines
- Strong understanding of data governance, security and access-control design
- Excellent stakeholder-management and business-communication skills
- Ability to explain architectural decisions and trade-offs in platform-agnostic terms
