Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, Enterprise AI

A large, established technology and consulting firm is scaling out its enterprise AI delivery practice, building and deploying production agentic AI systems directly inside the operations of its largest enterprise clients. The work sits at the hard edge of applied AI: getting stateful, multi-agent systems running reliably inside complex, security-locked corporate environments, not just prototyping them.

The Role

You'll be embedded directly with enterprise client teams for intensive delivery engagements, owning the full path from architecture to production deployment of agentic AI systems. Rather than advising from the outside, you're the hands-on technical lead inside each engagement: designing the system, writing the code, and being the person accountable when it needs to work in a real, messy enterprise environment. Each engagement gives you real technical ownership and direct exposure to how large organizations actually adopt AI at scale.

Tech Stack

  • Languages: TypeScript/Node.js and Python (Go or Rust a plus)
  • Cloud: Azure (AI Foundry, App Services, Container Apps, VNet peering) and/or AWS (Bedrock, ECS, Lambda)
  • AI/Agentic:
    • OpenAI and/or Anthropic APIs
    • Custom agentic frameworks
    • Tool-use/function calling
    • Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and sub-agents
  • Data:
    • Vector databases (Pinecone, CosmosDB Vector, Qdrant)
    • RAG architectures
    • Chunking strategies
    • Embedding models
  • Auth/Security:
    • OAuth 2.0
    • SAML
    • Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • RBAC for LLM tool execution
  • Enterprise integration:
    • Microsoft Copilot Studio
    • Power Platform
    • Power Automate
    • Microsoft Graph API
    • Teams Bot Framework

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead intensive, multi-week embedded delivery cycles directly with enterprise clients to understand real operational bottlenecks and solve them with multi-agent systems
  • Architect and deploy stateful agentic workflows, MCP servers, and custom sub-agents into production
  • Act as the technical bridge between frontier reasoning models and legacy enterprise systems (SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow)
  • Navigate complex enterprise environments: map network architecture across cloud environments, work through InfoSec and data loss prevention reviews, and integrate securely with client identity and collaboration systems
  • Run recurring working sessions with client subject matter experts to define system boundaries and build human feedback loops into deployed agents
  • Identify reusable deployment patterns and contribute frameworks that improve delivery across future engagements

Your Future at the Company

Every embedded engagement is a chance to build reusable frameworks and technical IP that shape how the broader practice deploys agentic AI going forward. Strong performers can expect to grow into deeper technical leadership, taking on more complex engagements and more influence over how the practice's agentic delivery model evolves.

Who You Are

You're a strong software engineer first, someone who thinks in terms of system design, latency, and reliable fallbacks rather than just prompts. You're equally comfortable explaining how an agentic system works to a non-technical executive and pushing back on scope creep to protect a delivery timeline, and you thrive when the path forward isn't documented yet and you have to find it yourself.
