Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - London
Up to £90 -110k + bonus
Hybrid working - Central London
I’m working with one of the UK’s leading wealth management platforms. They’re now investing heavily in AI and building a brand-new AI Deployment function to turn the company’s AI strategy into real production capability. This is one of the first senior hires into the team, giving you the opportunity to help shape how AI is deployed across the business from the ground up.
Key responsibilities:
- Own AI engagements end-to-end, from identifying the problem through to production and handover
- Build production-grade AI solutions, including LLMs, pipelines, agents and workflows
- Develop and implement evals, guardrails, monitoring and cost/accuracy optimisation
- Deploy ML and AI components into live customer-facing environments
- Work closely with Data Science, Decisioning, Engineering and non-technical stakeholders

Experience required:
- 5+ years’ software engineering experience with meaningful production ownership
- Strong production-grade Python
- Proven experience building and shipping LLM-powered systems into production
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agents, orchestration, tool use, structured outputs and RAG
- Strong understanding of LLM evaluation, regression testing and quality measurement
- Experience implementing AI safety and guardrails, including PII, prompt injection and human-in-the-loop approaches
- CI/CD, containerisation, monitoring and alerting for AI workloads
- Strong data processing and pipeline fundamentals
