What do we do?

Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The role

Paddle's FP&A team is at an exciting inflection point. We've built the foundations of our planning infrastructure, and are looking to scale our impact across the business.

As a Sr. FP&A Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between financial insight and commercial execution, reporting into the Director of FP&A. You'll partner with business leaders to translate Paddle's complex transaction-based business model into clear strategic recommendations that drive profitable growth and investment efficiency, becoming the interface between finance and the business.

This role offers the perfect blend of commercial influence and hands-on impact, with opportunities to shape major business decisions while building the next evolution of FP&A capability at Paddle.

What you'll do

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Build financial partnerships with key stakeholders across the business (e.g. GTM, Operations), becoming a trusted advisor to senior leaders on resource allocation, commercial strategy and investment optimisation for Marketing and Product decisions.
  • Drive insights from Paddle's key metrics (GMV, take rate, CAC, LTV, NRR, churn) into actionable recommendations that influence business direction.
  • Leverage finance insights to inform finance and business leadership of important risks and opportunities.
  • Support business case development for strategic initiatives such as pricing strategy, market/ product expansion and or new launches.
  • Partner with the Director of FP&A and the VP of Finance to support board-level reporting and strategic narratives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Forecasting & Analysis

  • Support the evolution of Paddle’s planning models to bridge financial targets with operational execution, enabling our leadership team to translate cross functional insights into faster and better-informed strategic decisions.
  • Build and deliver management reporting and dashboards that cut through complexity—ensuring finance insights and recommendations are timely, focused, and decision-oriented.
  • Develop deep expertise in Paddle's transaction-based revenue model, bringing visibility to performance across customer segments, geographies, and products.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize unit economics and improve capital efficiency across the business.

Team Development

  • Bring fresh perspectives to our KPI framework and support the team in building commercial fluency.
  • Contribute to building a high-performing, high-EQ FP&A culture that values clarity, ownership, and collaboration. We strive for a high-impact, low-ego culture.
  • Represent FP&A in cross-functional projects, championing data-driven decision-making across the organization.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Commercially astute and strategically minded - you can connect financial data to business outcomes, and you're energized by influencing commercial strategy, not just reporting on it.
  • An exceptional business partner - established in stakeholder management, you can translate complex financial concepts into simple, compelling narratives for non-finance audiences and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
  • Technically strong in FP&A fundamentals - proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning, ideally with experience in SaaS, payments, or transaction-based business models.
  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity - you thrive in fast-paced scale-up environments where you're flying the plane whilst building it, navigating data quality challenges and evolving tooling (we're re-implementing Pigment).
  • Looking to develop the way the team and Paddle operates… and develop yourself too in the process. You enjoy mentoring others and building capability across the team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong executive presence - you balance precision and accuracy with the ability to zoom out and present confidently to C-level stakeholders.
  • Someone who does what they say, to a very high standard, consistently - you believe that this is how long term trust is built with the business.
