Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations - Glasgow or Perth

Salary: £44,000 - £60,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

The role supports the Distribution FP&A team to deliver high-quality financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The role will support in the delivery of insight to enable commercial decision making and provide analysis to track performance.

You will work closely with the CoE team and the Finance Business Partnering team to ensure that valuable and insightful information is provided to key business stakeholders.

You Will

  • Prepare and support in the preparation and delivery of monthly reporting packs, including variance analysis and commentary to highlight commercial trends and promote commercial decision making.
  • Responsible for areas in the budget and forecast process, collation, uploading to the system, and support the preparation of reporting as well as creation of value-add insight.
  • Contribute to the preparation of capital expenditure forecasts via strategic reviews alongside the Finance Business Partners.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support data-driven decisions and performance improvements through analysis, scenario modeling, and financial insight.
  • Continuously seek and implement opportunities for improvements to the team’s processes. Maintain and improve the accuracy and robustness of financial models and reporting processes. Collaborate with Finance teams to streamline reporting through automation and adoption of new tools and technologies, including AI.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting including ED3 planning

You will have

  • Highly proficient in turning raw financial data into insightful finance presentations.
  • Demonstrable proactive approach to delivering value-add analysis and insights.
  • A track record of adding value, creating efficiencies, and improving processes.
  • Experience of delivering financial presentations to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and activities to maximize productivity.

In addition to the above, you will be professional and diligent, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, whilst never compromising on the quality of your work. You will be flexible, adept at managing expectations, and be able to adapt to changing business needs.
