About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening FP&A capability across the National Oceanography Centre and supporting a more integrated, insight-led approach to financial planning and reporting.

As Senior FP&A Business Partner, you’ll support annual budgeting, forecasting, longer-term financial planning, financial modelling and scenario analysis, helping senior stakeholders understand performance, risks, opportunities and future planning assumptions.

Working closely with the Head of Reporting Transformation and teams across Strategic Finance, Strategic Business Development, science and operations, you’ll bring together financial, operational, pipeline and resource information to provide clear insight that supports costing, pricing, investment decisions and business planning.

You’ll also play an important role in improving management reporting, planning processes and business intelligence outputs, helping to ensure information is consistent, reliable and focused on what stakeholders need to make informed decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
