Senior FPGA Engineer, Space | Hertfordshire (Hybrid)
Want your FPGA designs to fly in orbit? I'm working with an established space and satellite business in Hertfordshire that's growing its digital engineering team. They need a Senior FPGA Engineer to lead high reliability FPGA designs, from requirements through to verified flight hardware.
This role suits an experienced engineer who wants real ownership and wants to see their work go into space.
What you'll be doing
- Turning system requirements into FPGA architecture and design
- Designing and implementing FPGAs for space and high reliability applications
- Developing IP for SoC based platforms
- Owning verification to high reliability standards
- Leading FPGA projects technically and mentoring other engineers
- Working closely with the systems, hardware and software teams

What you'll bring
- Strong FPGA design experience in space or another high reliability sector, such as defence, aerospace or automotive
- Strong VHDL and/or SystemVerilog
- Experience with industry standard FPGA toolchains (AMD/Xilinx, Microchip or similar)
- DSP or digital communications experience
- Experience leading FPGA projects from start to finish
