Role Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of an internationally recognised intelligence, information and technology organisation that combines deep domain expertise with cutting-edge software engineering to deliver market-leading digital products.
As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will join a collaborative product engineering team responsible for delivering customer-facing and internal platforms used by analysts and clients worldwide. You will play a key role in designing and developing intuitive, high-performance user experiences while contributing across the full software delivery lifecycle.
The team values engineers who are passionate about technology, enjoy working across different disciplines and can contribute beyond front end development. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, business analysts and stakeholders to build secure, scalable and user-centric applications using modern technologies.
This role follows a hybrid working model, with two days per week in the Croydon office.
Skills Required
- Strong commercial experience developing applications with React.
- Experience building modern front end applications and user interfaces.
- Exposure to Node.js and Express development.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and modern web technologies.
- Experience working across multiple technologies rather than specialising in a single framework.
- Understanding of customer-facing web applications and digital products.
- Experience working with databases such as DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Appreciation of UX principles and user-centred design practices.
- Experience using design and collaboration tools such as Figma.
- Strong testing mindset and focus on software quality.
- Experience working within cloud-based environments, ideally AWS.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Comfortable owning solutions throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
