Founding Product Engineer | React Native | 3 days per week in London
The way we discover almost everything has changed over the last 20 years. How we decide where to live hasn't.
What you watch, buy, eat and where you travel are increasingly discovered through personalised, visual experiences. Property search still largely means filters, static photos and grids of listings.
I'm exclusively hiring engineers to join a well-funded London startup changing that.
They're building a video-first property platform where users discover homes through full-screen walkthroughs and a personalised feed, then save, share, chat and enquire directly.
They've just closed a multi-million-pound seed round and are already working with a growing network of London property businesses ahead of launch.
Now they're hiring their Founding Product Engineer - this is where you come in.

You'll work alongside a Founding Backend Engineer who'll own the architecture and systems underneath the platform, while you take ownership of much of the experience users actually touch: the React Native consumer app, agent-facing product and web.
This is a hands-on product engineering role. You'll be shipping regularly, owning releases and helping decide how the product should work, not just picking up predefined frontend tickets.
The stack includes React Native / Expo, React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Supabase and Postgres.
They're particularly interested in engineers who have:
- Strong production experience with React Native, React and TypeScript
- Shipped and maintained mobile products used by real customers, including releases through the App Store and Google Play
- A high bar for UX, performance and product craft, particularly on mobile
- Enough breadth to work across web, backend and database problems when required
- Strong product judgement and the confidence to make decisions without everything being perfectly specified
- Embraced AI development tools as part of how they build software

They want someone who notices the details. On a video-first consumer product, slow loading, clunky gestures or poor transitions aren't minor frontend issues, they're the product experience.
Compensation: Circa £100,000 (potentially more for the right person) + equity
Location: London, 3 days/week
