Senior Front End Engineer/UX/UI Engineer - (Contract)
Remote UK | 3-4 Days Per Week | Initial 3 months (Potential Extension) - £500 Per day Outside IR35
I'm working with an established organisation looking for a Senior Front End Engineer contractor to help modernise an enterprise SaaS application.
Solid Front End development skills across JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS/SCSS. You'll also have hands-on commercial experience using OpenAI Codex or similar AI coding agents within a development environment and any experience or exposure to ColdFusion/CFML is a bonus.
This role goes beyond Front End engineering. We're looking for someone who combines strong development skills with genuine product UX/UI design experience. You should have experience designing user journeys, interaction patterns and scalable design systems, with a focus on creating intuitive user experiences as well as building them.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
