I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Own the frontend experience: build and evolve the interfaces through which customers interact with AI-powered products
  • Shape the product: work closely with Product and Design to influence what gets built, bringing strong product judgement rather than simply implementing designs.
  • Raise the engineering bar: contribute to frontend architecture, technical standards, testing, performance and development practices as the team scales.
  • Stay hands-on: this is a highly autonomous role where you'll be expected to own projects end-to-end and have a meaningful impact on the direction of the product.

đź‘€ What we're looking for

  • Tech stack: Deep, production-level experience with React and TypeScript
  • Strong experience with modern frontend tooling such as Next.js, Vite and design systems.
  • A track record of building and shipping frontend products at startups, ideally having owned or helped build multiple products from the ground up.
  • Experience scaling or refactoring frontend codebases, including component libraries, design systems, shared tooling and frontend architecture.
  • Strong product instincts, you care about whether something is the right thing to build, not just whether it is technically well implemented.
