Senior Frontend Engineer

Up to 90k

2-3 days a week in London

Tech stack: React, TypeScript, TanStack, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, Vitest, React Testing Library, MSW, Azure, CI/CD

Immersum is partnering with a growing international payments technology business looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help build and evolve the applications powering their platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building high-quality, scalable frontend experiences. You’ll have genuine ownership over the products you work on, contributing to architecture, technical decisions and engineering standards while working closely with product and engineering teams.

The Role

  • Build and evolve complex frontend applications using React and TypeScript
  • Design scalable frontend architecture, including application state and server-state management
  • Build complex forms, workflows, permissions and third-party integrations
  • Develop reusable, accessible UI components using Tailwind CSS, Radix UI and shadcn/ui
  • Write well-tested, maintainable code using Vitest, React Testing Library and MSW
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to turn requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Contribute to frontend architecture and make technical decisions within your area of ownership
  • Build secure, reliable and observable applications
  • Review code, share knowledge and help raise engineering standards across the team
  • Make effective use of modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript
  • Senior level software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, application state and server-state management
  • Experience building complex forms, workflows and data-heavy applications
  • Experience integrating APIs and third party services
  • Strong understanding of testing and frontend quality practices
  • Experience with accessibility and building reusable UI components
  • Good understanding of security, reliability and observability
  • Strong engineering fundamentals around clean code, version control, code review and maintainability
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Comfortable taking ownership and making technical decisions
