Your Mission
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be part of the team building and evolving the user-facing applications behind our financial platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will develop new functionality, improve existing solutions, and contribute to frontend architecture and technical decisions. You will work closely with Backend Engineers and Product to deliver reliable and intuitive experiences for users managing financial operations.
Your Tech Environment
You will work across a modern frontend stack alongside existing platform components:
Frontend: Angular 22, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, HTML, CSS
Existing Components: jQuery 3.7.0, Materialize, funnelEvents.js, bankElements.js
Backend: PHP 8.3.26, CodeIgniter 3.1.8
Data & Infrastructure: MySQL 8.0, Redis 7.4
What You’ll Do
- Own frontend development from technical design through implementation, testing, and production delivery
- Build and evolve user-facing applications for payments, accounts, transactions, and other financial workflows
- Develop reusable UI components and features using Angular, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Translate product and business requirements into clear technical solutions and pragmatic frontend implementations
- Contribute to frontend architecture, technical decisions, and the evolution of shared frontend patterns and standards
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services, working closely with Backend Engineers on API contracts and end-to-end functionality
- Work with existing production codebases, improving legacy components while introducing modern frontend solutions where appropriate
- Identify and address frontend issues related to performance, reliability, security, and user experience
- Write well-tested code and participate in code reviews, debugging, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps to deliver features from initial requirements through production

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with modern Angular and React, including Angular 16+ and React 17+
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of component-based frontend architecture
- Experience building complex interfaces and reusable UI components with Angular, React, and Tailwind CSS
- Practical experience with state management and reactive programming using NgRx, Redux, Zustand, RxJS, or similar technologies
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs, authentication, and authorization flows, including OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT
- Experience with unit and integration testing, debugging, performance optimisation, Git, CI/CD, and code review practices
- Ability to work confidently with existing production codebases, understand unfamiliar systems, and improve them without unnecessary rewrites
- Ability to take ownership of frontend solutions, make sound technical decisions, and work effectively with Backend Engineers, Product, QA, and UX/UI
- Strong attention to code quality, security, performance, and user experience

Nice to Have
- Background in fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated environments
- Hands-on work with back-office systems, admin portals, dashboards, or operational tools
- Understanding of frontend security principles, including XSS/CSRF prevention and secure handling of sensitive data
- Familiarity with PHP, CodeIgniter, micro-frontends, modular frontend architecture, or design systems
