About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript to join the team and play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the company's core product. Reporting directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), the successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and other business units to deliver intuitive, reliable, and scalable technology solutions tailored for finance teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a small, agile engineering team where ownership and impact are highly valued. The Senior Frontend Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality frontend applications, balancing rapid iteration with production-level stability and robustness. The position requires a pragmatic approach to engineering, with an emphasis on testing and maintainability, ensuring that new features are scalable and dependable.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, startup experience, and a product-focused mindset:
- Extensive professional experience with React in a commercial setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of component architecture and state management.
- Proven expertise in TypeScript, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Previous experience working in startup or scale-up environments, navigating fast-paced and evolving project requirements.
- Several years of senior-level frontend or software engineering experience, with a track record of building and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Strong knowledge of frontend architecture principles, testing strategies, and best practices for maintainability.
- A pragmatic, product-oriented approach to engineering, with a focus on delivering value quickly and iteratively.
- Ability to take ownership of features and projects, working independently within a small team.
- Comfort with ambiguity, changing priorities, and the fast-moving nature of a growing startup environment.
Responsibilities
The Senior Frontend Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality frontend components and applications using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Implementing best practices for frontend architecture, testing, and code quality assurance.
- Participating in technical decision-making, including architecture, tooling, and technical standards.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, documentation, and team knowledge sharing.
- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility standards are met.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Balancing rapid development with code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure long-term maintainability.
