Senior Frontend Engineer (Next.js / React)

Contract, 3 months (initial, likely to extend), Remote (UK hours)

We're hiring a senior frontend engineer to join a small, sharp engineering team building a new product platform in the payments space.

You'd work as an embedded member of that team, not a hand-it-back-when-it's-done contractor.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building the intelligent Next.js componentry at the core of a new architecture
  • Interpreting configuration-driven payloads and mapping component-type strings to the right React components
  • Rendering arbitrary data shapes flexibly and reliably
  • Working alongside the team's existing developer and technical lead on the wider platform rebuild

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we need from you:

  • Senior React and Next.js experience, with real depth in dynamic, config-driven component rendering (not just static pages)
  • Someone who can reason about flexible data shapes and build for them
  • Strong communication and a collaborative style, since you'll be in their standups and refinements as if you were on the team
  • Go experience is a bonus, not a requirement
