We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a global business on an 18 month fixed term contract. This is a hands on role building a new customer account platform using TypeScript and AWS.

The successful candidate will have strong practical experience with TypeScript, AWS CDK and Amazon ECS, alongside frontend development experience with React or a React based framework. The role requires someone who can make technical decisions independently and contribute to engineering standards.

The platform will support customer login, registration, email verification, password resets and profile changes. It will also include an account profile microservice that holds the authoritative customer information. Services will operate across multiple AWS regions, with a strong focus on performance, security and regional data restrictions.

The contract covers a build phase of just over a year, followed by hypercare and further features. Responsibilities will broaden after launch as services delivered by a third party are handed over.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial TypeScript experience across application development, frontend code and AWS workloads
  • Strong hands on AWS CDK experience provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure
  • Practical experience building and deploying applications using Amazon ECS
  • Frontend development experience with React or a React based framework
  • Understanding of secure handling of personal information, including safe application logging and regional data restrictions
  • Ability to make technical decisions independently, set standards and improve engineering processes
  • Experience contributing to code reviews, robust testing, test driven development and pair programming
  • Understanding of cloud architecture, including reliability, security, scalability, performance and operating costs
  • Typically four or more years of development experience, with flexibility for exceptional candidates with less experience
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, adaptability and a focus on customer needs

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
