About Excite OOH

Excite OOH is one of the UK’s fastest-growing out-of-home specialists, recognised on the FEBE Growth 100 Watch List and named one of Prolific North’s Top 50 Integrated Agencies.

We help brands stand out in the real world through bold, high-impact billboard, transport and large-format advertising campaigns across the UK and internationally.

As Excite continues to grow, we’re investing in our own technology to make planning, delivering and reporting OOH campaigns simpler, smarter and more transparent.

We’re now looking for a Full Stack Developer to join the team and help us build it.

The Role

This is an opportunity to become our first in-house developer within a growing independent media agency and play a major role in building our technology from the ground up.

You’ll work closely with the leadership and wider agency team to develop tools that solve real problems across media planning, campaign delivery, reporting and client experience.

Rather than maintaining a large legacy platform or working on a small part of someone else’s product, you’ll have genuine ownership of what we build and how it develops.

We have ambitious plans for the platform, but we’re looking for someone who can help turn those ideas into a simple, scalable product that our team and clients genuinely want to use.

What you’ll be building

We're investing in technology to make OOH planning, campaign delivery and reporting simpler, smarter and more transparent.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Our plans span interactive OOH planning and mapping, audience and location data, client campaign dashboards, automated reporting, AI-powered insights and better-connected internal workflows.

You'll play a major role in shaping how those ideas become products, rather than simply being handed a predefined development backlog.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing, building and shipping new features across the platform
  • Developing intuitive front-end experiences and reliable back-end services
  • Working with APIs and third-party data sources
  • Building integrations with internal and external platforms
  • Helping define the technical architecture and development roadmap
  • Turning feedback from our team and clients into product improvements
  • Exploring practical ways to use AI and automation across the platform
  • Maintaining high standards around performance, security and code quality
  • Working with external technical expertise where appropriate as the platform develops

This role is for you if you…

  • Have strong full-stack development experience and have shipped real-world web applications
  • Are confident working across modern front-end and back-end technologies
  • Have experience with technologies such as React / Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and relational databases
  • Are comfortable working with APIs, integrations and third-party data
  • Enjoy taking products from an idea through to something people actually use
  • Can work independently and make sensible technical decisions
  • Are interested in AI and how it can be practically applied to products and workflows
  • Enjoy solving problems and working directly with the people using what you build
  • Want more ownership than you’d typically get as one developer within a large engineering team
