Location: Bristol (Hybrid, 1–2 days per week) Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Target backend-strong engineers with Node.js, TypeScript, Azure, PostgreSQL, and API integration experience, plus curiosity about AI tooling.
This is a high-ownership role: you’ll join at the architecture stage, working directly with the CTO in a small senior team. No layers of management, no legacy systems — just the chance to design and deliver a platform you’ll be proud of.
🌟 Why Join Us
- Shape the architecture from day one — your decisions will define the platform for years.
- Work in a startup-style environment, but backed by private equity stability.
- Build with AI-first engineering practices (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) where code is accelerated by AI, but quality and design thinking remain paramount.
- Create a seamless adviser and client experience in a regulated environment, with engineering pedigree at the core.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Backend Engineering: Build the core API layer with Node.js + TypeScript (Fastify), enforce strict typing, and own the relational data model in Azure PostgreSQL.
- Azure Infrastructure: Deploy with Bicep IaC, leveraging Azure Container Apps, Functions, Blob Storage, Service Bus, Monitor.
- Integration Engineering: Deep integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Dataverse API), plus Moneyinfo and SS&C for portfolio enrichment.
- AI Features: Architect pipelines for transcription and automated reporting using Azure AI Speech and Claude API.
- Quality & Delivery: CI/CD with GitHub Actions, automated testing, and disciplined code review.
- Frontend Contribution: Support React development, with AI tooling assisting delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
