This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer (React + Node.js) based in United Kingdom.

Are you a seasoned full stack developer passionate about building scalable applications and solving complex engineering challenges? This opportunity allows you to contribute to innovative digital solutions transforming how utility companies plan, manage, and optimize their field operations. You will work on a cloud-native platform combining workflow automation, operational management, digital twin technology, and AI-powered planning capabilities. Using React, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS, you will develop end-to-end features that deliver tangible value to real-world infrastructure operations. You will take ownership of features from initial design through production deployment while contributing to architectural decisions and platform reliability. Working remotely with experienced engineers and an international team, including UK-based stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to influence product development and adopt modern AI-assisted engineering practices.

Accountabilities

  • Develop modern frontend applications: Design, build, and maintain responsive, scalable, and user-friendly React applications that support operational planning, scheduling, and management workflows.
  • Build robust backend services: Develop and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and NestJS, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Deliver end-to-end features: Take ownership of full stack functionality from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Design and optimize databases: Develop and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, optimize queries, and ensure efficient data management and reliable application performance.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions: Deploy, operate, and support applications on AWS, leveraging relevant services and infrastructure to build scalable and resilient systems.
  • Contribute to technical architecture: Participate in architectural discussions, recommend effective technical solutions, review code, and help establish engineering standards and best practices.
  • Maintain software quality: Implement appropriate testing strategies, participate in code reviews, support release activities, and contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Troubleshoot and improve reliability: Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, resolve technical issues, and proactively improve platform stability, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and UK-based stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Drive independent problem-solving: Analyze complex technical challenges, evaluate alternatives, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development: Use modern development tools, including Cursor and Claude Code, to accelerate implementation, improve productivity, and support efficient software engineering workflows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
