About The Role

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join their dynamic software engineering team on a permanent basis. Based in Northamptonshire with hybrid and remote working options, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions that support large-scale, mission-critical operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern applications utilizing the latest technologies including .NET, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. This position provides a platform to influence technical direction, participate in architectural decisions, and deliver high-quality software that addresses complex real-world challenges. Working alongside experienced professionals such as software engineers, architects, project managers, and subject matter experts, you will have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise while making a meaningful impact on the organization’s technological advancements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical skills and professional experience, including:

  • Extensive commercial experience developing with C# and the.NET framework.
  • Proven experience in building modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
  • A solid understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, maintainability, and code quality standards.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments, utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Senior Full Stack Developer include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and developing modern, scalable web applications using C#,.NET, React, and TypeScript.
  • Building robust backend services and RESTful APIs with PostgreSQL to support application functionality.
  • Contributing to software architecture, technical design, and establishing engineering best practices.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code to ensure high standards of quality.
  • Participating in code reviews, providing mentorship to junior developers, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives related to development processes, tooling, and platforms.
  • Working within Agile methodologies, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
