Senior Full-Stack Developer

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and deployment of complex software solutions.

You will architect and maintain data engineering pipelines, backend services, and APIs, while also demonstrating consideration for design and UI/UX when building user interfaces.

This role requires:

  • Deep expertise in software engineering concepts
  • Advanced coding abilities (preferably in Python and TypeScript)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud deployments, databases, and containerisation (Docker)
  • Scalable systems that effectively address business needs across diverse industries

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of robust software solutions, promoting best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Architect and maintain complex data engineering pipelines, backend services, and APIs for scalability, reliability, and high performance
  • Support code reviews of Python and SQL via Git, ensuring code quality, security, and adherence to engineering standards
  • Support cloud-based deployments and infrastructure (e.g., Azure, GCP), leveraging Linux scripting and advanced Docker skills (including storage, volumes, and permissions)
  • Develop and optimise database solutions using SQL and Cloud platforms, focusing on performance and data integrity
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, facilitating knowledge sharing and adoption of best practices
  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems using advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts and project outcomes to stakeholders via documentation, calls, and presentations
  • Maintain high attention to detail across all development activities to meet technical and business requirements
  • Stay updated with emerging software engineering technologies and industry trends, proactively suggesting improvements
  • Identify technical risks and contribute to project planning and task management
  • Assist in front-end design and implementation, emphasising user experience

Key Requirements

Technical Proficiencies

  • Proven experience presenting technical concepts to stakeholders
  • Experience developing complex user interfaces, backend APIs, and software integrations using tools like React
  • Proficiency with Python or TypeScript, including libraries for data processing and backend development (e.g., FastAPI, Pydantic, ExpressJS, NodeJS, NextJS API Router)
  • Strong understanding of cloud deployment (e.g., Azure, GCP**)
  • Experience with browsers, web APIs, and technologies such as HTML Canvas, Drag and Drop, SSE, WebSockets
  • Version control with Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to handle Git branching, merging, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM manipulation, and frontend framing libraries
  • Problem-solving and code reading skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Leadership experience in mentoring teams

Interview Process

  1. Stage 1: 20-minute video call with a hiring team member
  2. Stage 2: 45-minute live coding task
