Senior Full Stack Engineer – Java / TypeScript / Vue

Remote | Contract until End of March 2027 | Likely Extension

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a major technology programme within a highly regulated, high-volume environment.

This is a remote contract running until the end of March 2027, with a strong likelihood of extension.

The Role

You’ll join a cross-functional engineering team responsible for designing, building and enhancing business-critical digital platforms. We’re looking for a genuinely full-stack engineer with particularly strong Java backend development experience, combined with modern frontend engineering using TypeScript and Vue.js.

The platform operates within a highly regulated, high-traffic environment, so experience building reliable, scalable and secure software is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java.
• Develop modern frontend applications using TypeScript and Vue.js.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from technical design through to deployment and production support.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and services.
• Produce clean, maintainable and well-tested production code.
• Contribute to architectural and technical design decisions.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Platform and other technical teams.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues.
• Build solutions with security, scalability, resilience and regulatory compliance at their core.
• Participate in code reviews and drive engineering best practice.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers where required.
